Beautiful Park and Treasure of the Past


Haeinsa



 Do you know history of Corea? Once, they were attacked by Mongolia. Monks believed that they could beat them to pray hard while making the complete collection of Buddhist scriptures carved on over eighty thousand woodblocks. It is designated as National Treasure in UNESCO`s Memory of the world, called the Tripitaka Koreana and Haein-sa which is famous temple is kept it. Haein-sa is located in Gaya Mountains, Hapcheon-gun, Kyeongsang-nam-do and a thousand years old monastery. Haein-sa is one of ten Avatamsaka School temples of Korea and built in the Silla Dynasty under the proud flag of enhancing and expanding Avatamsaka School. Also this area around Haeinsa is a Gayasan national park, so you can enjoy not only the calm and solemn temple but also beautiful nature. Do not miss the chance to look Corean`s spirit.
